Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

We need a Science Center! I would love for my Kindergarten students to have access to wonderful science materials. Many of my students come from low-income families and have never been exposed to scientific tools.

As students grow older, they begin to feel that science is boring. My hope is that if I provide a strong basis in science in Kindergarten, then my students will take what they have learned with them as they grow and develop.

In order to make our Science Center the best it can be, we would like to have the Lakeshore Learning Simple Science Exploration Tubs. These tubs include magnets, insects & spiders, mirrors, water, colors, and sounds. The students will conduct simple experiments, record and communicate observations, use tools, and make predictions.

By donating to our Science Center, you are ensuring that my students will learn to appreciate science at an early age. As they grow older and move through school, they will remember how they enjoyed learning through hands-on science experiments.
