Hello Donors, I teach third graders at a public school. At my school we work hard to give every child the opportunity to be successful.

The students show so much interest in science within the school. However, we can't afford to get science kits for them to further explore their interest. Our students can't afford basic supplies such as pencils. We don't even have a decent pencil sharpener in our classroom.

With a new science kit our students could learn the important concepts of science. The kit will give us major help on targeted standards and some inspiration to instill in the students that you can grow up and be a scientist too. Having the interactive human body resource would give them hands-on learning experience. With this resource they could learn about the functions, systems, and structures of the human body. The students need pencils to be able to write, illustrate, or describe what they have learned. An electric sharpener will give the students a chance to keep their pencils ready for work and would benefit them all with time management.

With your help the students will soar from just thinking about science to actually taking an active part in exploring it. Please help us to turn up the heat on our science instruction for this 2008-2009 school year by making an almost impossible dream come true for the students. Thank you and God bless.
