Agriculture Construction Training

My students need 3 single family construction training kits for our new Agriculture Construction Class.

I have recently learned that I will be teaching a new class at our school in Agriculture Construction. Our school is starting on this venture with very limited funds available with a high amount of special needs students signed up for the class.

This new class has showed a lot of interest and is a new subject that I have never taught before. With a high amount of hands on students these training kits would be a huge asset. After the students learn the basics through classroom discussing they will complete the kits. The final step in this process is the students building small storage sheds for individuals in our community.

These training kits are an all inclusive package that allows a group of students to work together taking a detailed set of plans and creating a scale model of a house. This is a time tested method of starting students in the construction industry. The kits allow students to be successful because they are well planned and well laid out.

The construction trades is an ever expanding job market with currently 10% of our graduating class entering the field but with limited training. This class and materials will help prepare the students for the job market or for working on their own projects.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
