I teach 10th graders in a transient city. I have a mixed class of 10th graders who are mostly honors students. I want to get them involved in the upcoming election and connect reading and economics.

Students need to feel connected to the subject matter and this is a wonderful text to do just that. The material is fresh, real and connects to their life. The students find the text, "Freakonomics" to be a valid representation of economics. I want to connect and encourage this with the text. To do this I need 10 copies of the text.

With 10 copies of the text I can assign students sections to read. They can become involved in economics and find it real. By the conclusion of class they will have read the entire text and will enjoy economics. I want to make the material real and this is a wonderful project to do just that!

Your help will ensure that students are interested in the upcoming election. They will enjoy and connect with economics-which will make the election even more real. Another goal is that students will enjoy reading the text and find other books similar to read. Help me empower the youth and connect reading/ elections/ and economics!
