Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I will be teaching my students both United States History and Global History at the High School level. This school is located in a high poverty area and resources including textbooks are limited. I have a laptop and can bring all sorts of resources of have created.

Because the school does not have smart boards, televisions, copiers or even textbooks it many cases it is critical that I have an LCD projector available to replace all of these resources. Essentially I can deliver all of the resources via my laptop at a lower cost using the LCD.

Imagine letting the kids see visuals of actual speeches throughout history, deliver movies and content, notes, PowerPoint presentations, and web access all with this one resource.

You could give these students who are working very hard access to resources that only the suburbs have at a very low cost. I am willing to do all the work in making sure that I bring history alive with energy every day and my students are willing to work. Make a huge difference by making one purchase that could replace tens of thousands of dollars in resources we are never going to get.
