I teach in a high needs community that consists of many English Language Learners that will need a good education to become productive citizens.

We have just been dealt a great blow to our budget. We have lost over a million dollars in our school alone. We are losing teacher's positions and supplies for the next school year. We will have to do without a lot of supplies we need.

I need more than just text books to expose my students to the world and politics. We are coming into a very exciting year with the presidential election in November. We will study the election and the news that is going on around us.

You will help my students better understand our country, our world, and how we interact with other in this small world. I want my students to be socially conscious.
