Kids and carpets...they go together like peanut butter and jelly. I teach a wonderful group of Kindergarten students who love to read. They are always trying to read on the carpet...however, out carpet isn't very comfortable or inviting.

It is one of the most wonderful sights in the world to see Kindergarten students excited about reading. I love hearing a quiet hum in the room as the students read to themselves and each other. A colorful carpet is one of the essential items needed for any kindergarten classroom. Kindergarten students spend about 75% of their day on the carpet. If you had a child in Kindergarten...wouldn't you want them to enjoy their time on the carpet with a fun, colorful carpet?

We are in need of a large, colorful, ABC carpet. This carpet would assist us when the students are sitting on the carpet because they would each have their own space to sit, thus decreasing the amount of fussing and fighting over where to sit. The students would have an inviting place to learn and read on their own or with a partner. The carpet would also be a great place for students to complete puzzles, games, matching games, etc. This carpet would be an invaluable resource too our classroom...this year and years to come!!

Your help will make it possible for my Kindergarten students to have the best Kindergarten experience possible. They will come in each day to a colorful, inviting room. They will start each day out by learning calendar curriculum on the carpet. There is no other resource that we would use more in Kindergarten. You would be donating the most important resource to our class and we would TRULY appreciate it!!!
