My students need a classroom television so that we can show our recently acquired DVD and VCR videos that support our curriculum for 7th grade Science and World History.

Help students with learning disabilities get excited about science and history! I am a junior high Special Education teacher for students in 7th and 8th grade. My classes include 8th grade language arts, directed math, and 7th grade science and social studies.

It is difficult for students to grasp information when they are reading below grade level. My students may struggle with auditory processing and comprehension. Supplementing instruction with videos related to curriculum supports the different modalities of our student population.

The school site council funded videos for science and ancient history that supports my curriculum; however the television in my room is almost as old as the content of the videos! It is truly ancient and unfortunately has gone into retirement. My students would benefit greatly from these videos if only we had a television.

Your help will ensure that my students will have access to material that will help them understand the grade level curriculum of their junior high peers. You will open doors to opportunity and possibilities. Thank you for your kind consideration.
