Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I'm hungry! I'm thirsty! sing the children. Oh, the joy of cooking...stirring, washing. It can be safely accomplished in our dramatic play center in our Pre K class.

Students in this Pre-K needs to start learning to be functional even at this early age. While they have various disabilities they CAN still do much to enjoy childhood like their typical peers. They WANT TO LEARN AND CAN LEARN given the right hands-on materials. Play is how they learn and dramatic play area in our room desperately needs materials to provide this rich learning experience.

As their teacher, I am honored to be working with such a special population who are children thirsting to learn. To maximize this learning experience, they need to be able to actively participate and cut, chop, cook, stir, wash, dry, microwave breakfast, snack and lunch. We need food items, dishes, stove/microwave to cook and dishwasher to prepare lunch for self, family and friends!

With your gracious assistance my special needs classroom would experience the opportunity of cooking and making their favorite snack. It's never to early to start learning.
