I teach kids with emotional and behavior disabilities, grades 6-8. My kids stay with me most of the day for core academics. Next year I hope to have them in general education classes and I will use this as a motivator to use proper behavior in and out of the classroom.

My students have trouble expressing themselves and working together. They require external motivators and we discussed how we could help them control anger. They came up with raising money for a Wii console for rewards for positive behavior. Most of my students do not have PE, so they need anything to get movement in their day.

We need a wii console with 4 remotes, big brain academy and the wii fit with balance board for movement. We all know how kids love to play games and with this as a motivator for reducing discipline problems, I hope to see a reduction in referrals and detention.

My students are from a lower socioeconomic status, single parent families, and disadvantaged youths. This would give them a sense of pride as no one in the school has a Wii for their classroom. We would be the class to go to instead of the class with all the trouble. This is what my guys came up with and they put a lot of thought into this. I would love for you to help them to realize their vision.
