Ms. Hong Panorama Elementary School
Daly City, CA Grades 3-5

Speed stacks are for everyone, at any age with any ability! The classes that will benefit from this program are lower income and high need elementary school students.

This set of Speed Stacks will follow me into elementary school classrooms at 3 schools. The time the students are working with the Speed Stacks, their teacher will be working with a math coach to help strengthen the math curriculum. The time the classroom teacher is out of the room, the class and I can work on something that is fun, engaging and good for the brain. This is also an activity the teacher does not have to plan while he/she is out of the room getting math support.

I am asking for a class set of 30 Speed Stacks and an activity guide. Having one set of cups per student allows for personal and practical experience. Speed Stacks help with the development of left hand and right hand ambidexterity, the development of hand eye coordination and left/right brain bilateral proficiency development. This all means that it's a great brain exercise; getting both sides of the brain working! Studies show that when both sides of the brain are engaged, better learning happens in all curricular areas! The activity guide will help me keep the classrooms busy and interested indefinitely!

You will make it possible for my students' social skills and self esteem to grow. This activity encourages students of varying abilities to participate, set personal goals and watch their own improvement to do their personal best! This activity levels the playing field so anybody and everybody can be successful!
