"We LOVE reading, so much that our existing library of books sets is beginning to fall to pieces! I teach reading and English language to a diverse population of English Learners in a low-income Elementary school.
The students are learning about the strategies good readers use in navigating the endless world of literature, but our stock of books is sadly deteriorating after years of use. These days my kids seem to be loving mysteries, but they also need to broaden their horizons a bit, so I'm trying to expand the library to include more genres and more topics to motivate struggling readers.
We do have some sets of books, but the titles I've chosen will hopefully revive our small library. The students have so many interests and need so much vocabulary development that a wide range of books is needed!
Having their hands on books is what these kids need, since many of them come from families who simply cannot afford to buy books whenever they want!
My students need sets of high-interest chapter books at different reading levels to instill a love of reading in a diverse population of kids!
The cost of this proposal is $344, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ."

Dear Janet, Jeffrey, Andy & Janet, Joshua and Anonymous Donor,
Thank you so, so much for your generous gift. Some of my students are not currently proficient or avid readers; however, they are becoming more experienced as they try different genres and levels of literature. Every new book adds to this experience. This is the best way to make them successful readers for the rest of their lives! These book sets will be used immediately and repeatedly-- for years to come. You are giving the gift of a love of reading to many, many students and I can't thank you enough.
