In this high-tech world we need high-tech activities to keep our students engaged in learning. I teach 5th grade Reading and Social Studies in the oldest school in our community. My school is 80 years old this year and is lacking the technology that most new schools have. We are are also designated as the "concept" school in our district. We require all parents to volunteer at least 9 hours per school year and all stakeholders must sign a commitment form to be part of our school. Students are enrolled in our school through a lottery system. Some parents will even drive an hour to get to our school. While we are an excellent school academically, we lack a lot of new technology that will help us keep up with the times.

Back to the future! Our school is in a technology time warp. We lack new technology that can keep our students engaged and excited about learning. My students love to play games and work on the computer. I want to combine the two, and connect it to our curriculum by using the Classroom Jeopardy Game System. There is nothing more pleasing to a teacher, than seeing her students having fun and learning at the same time. I would love to hear them say "Let's play this again!"

To be able to follow through with this project I will need the Classroom Jeopardy Game System. This will allow me to create questions on the computer that correlate with my curriculum, and then transfer it to the Jeopardy Game for students to play as a class. The students will benefit from this activity because it is highly engaging and competitive. They will be reviewing information learned in class and have fun doing it. The beauty of this system is it can be used for all the subjects I teach and, I can make hundreds of games involving my curriculum for years to come.

By helping fund this project you will help bring learning into the 21st century in my classroom. The students will be engaged and want to learn more. Please help me make a difference and bring our class "Back to the future!"
