Our classroom is full of twenty-three eager to learn kindergarteners!
I teach twenty-three amazing kindergarteners at a K-6 Title 1 school.
Our school is multicultural, where most students eat free breakfast, snack, and lunch daily. Many of my students take home "backpacks of food" to ensure they have access to food over the weekend. Some of our students are homeless or in foster care. Many of my student's families face huge challenges daily and are not able to provide resources or time to support learning at home. Many students are just now learning how to work with technology as they have never had the opportunity to before coming to school.
My Project
We will use the printer, paper, and ink to create class books. We will publish our writing, stories, and poems that we have created this year. Students use the books that I have made for them (of their writing and illustrations) to read during our reading rotations. Students will be able to take home and share our books with their families.
Donations for our class printer will help improve our class by allowing students to see their work being published.
Students will feel encouraged and excited when they see their writing and illustrations published in a book format.
