Hello I am a First Grade teacher on the west side of Chicago. A lot of my students do not get the opportunity to use computers when they are not at school. There are now two new computers in my class, but I need software for them. The software I am asking for will help my students with their phonics, reading and math skills. I am asking for the Reading and Math Blaster programs which are similar to a game. The student has to "shoot" the correct answer at the monster using the mouse. The next one is a math and phonics program that gives the student a certain amount of time to answer the problems or questions they are given. These programs will grow with each student's ability level. It will challenge them and if the student needs extra help, the program will give him/her lessons that would be easier. These programs will be fun and challenging at the same time. I believe that these programs will give my students (especially the low performing ones) a sense of hope that they can achieve success on their own. My class and I would greatly appreciate a donation of these computer programs. Thank you for your time and consideration.
