Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I recently participated in Paint Nite and thought it would be an awesome experience to have a Paint Date in my classroom.
My students are energetic, creative teenagers who are eager to try new techniques.
Although they enjoy drawing, they need a variety of different art materials to grasp their attention. They are tired of using pencils and markers, and are anxious to paint.
My Project
I have requested 2 sets of acrylic paint and 17 pads of painting paper. These materials will be used to create a "Paint Date Party" just like the recently popular adult Paint Nite or Paint Date parties. There will be relaxing music playing as we cover our canvases with our new paints.
Providing my students with a step-by-step guide to painting will give them the basic painting techniques they need to create a successful painting.
When they have completed their works, there will be a sense of accomplishment and pride.
