My project needs 8 digital cameras to take photographs for their science journals/logs and then use their photographs to make a webquest of what they have learned.

I am working in a high poverty school. As such, we do not have a lot of access to things to assist our students in learning 21st Century skills. I teach first graders and most of them are on free lunch.

Our kids really need to get engaged in the scientific process and enjoy their learning. So much of school is about testing these days that interjecting some fun learning opportunities would really make a difference.

I really want to get digital cameras for my students to use so they can keep an electronic science journal of their work. They love using our computer lab whenever they can and I think using the digital cameras to document their learning would be an excellent opportunity to raise science scores. We could even make our own webquest, and my class loves to use webquests! What a great thing to make their own!

You will make it possible for my students to become part of the 21st Century by bridging the gap that happens in low income schools in regards to access to technology. Help my students get access to something so basic these days as a digital camera!
