To Whom It May Concern, I have been teaching Pre-K for 6 years and I have gotten quite familiar with this age group through observation. I have rarely observed a child happier than when they have opportunity to enjoy their favorite books any time they like. I can't always spend 1 on 1 time reading with the children, and the listening center provides them with hours of endless enjoyment. The recordings are lively with inflection and intonation, which is important to their developing reading skills. They will often listen to the same story several times and commit it to memory - this is a great tool for expanding their vocabulary and they would benefit greatly from your generous donation. As their primary teacher, I am responsible for all aspects of their development. Art is a major component of any worth while Pre-k community and working with wood gives them an opportunity to create mathematical art using geometric wood shapes. The end result is a wood sculpture that can be displayed in any museum. Enjoyable and educational - you can't beat that!
