Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A classroom rug will create a comfortable, welcoming space where my students can gather each day for morning meetings, read together, participate in whole-group lessons, and engage in meaningful class discussions. For many of my students, having a designated space where everyone can come together helps create a stronger sense of routine, belonging, and community.

This rug will become the heart of our classroom—a special place where every student has a seat and feels included.

It will give us a space to celebrate successes, share ideas, build relationships, and learn from one another. Whether we are starting our day together, listening to a read-aloud, practicing new skills, or simply taking a moment to connect, this space will help bring our classroom family closer.

More than just a place to sit, this rug will help create an environment where students feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. Your support will help us build a classroom community where every child knows they belong. ❤️
