My Project

What I Love About My Students and How These Resources Will Help Them Learn

My students are curious, creative, and resilient.

They bring unique strengths, personalities, and learning styles into the classroom every day. I love their willingness to try new things, support one another, and persevere through challenges. They are eager to learn, but many need additional sensory supports to help them stay focused, manage their emotions, and fully engage in the learning process.

The sensory jellyfish lamp and fluorescent light covers will help create a calm, welcoming environment by reducing overstimulation and giving students a soothing space to refocus and regulate their emotions.

The noise-canceling headphones will give students a way to minimize distractions and better concentrate during independent work, small-group activities, and assessments.

The beanbag chair and floor cushions will provide flexible seating options that allow students to learn in positions that are most comfortable for them. Giving students choices in how they sit and work can increase engagement, improve focus, and support a variety of learning preferences.

The chair bands will provide a healthy outlet for students who need movement throughout the day. Instead of struggling to sit still, students can use the bands to release excess energy while remaining engaged in classroom instruction.

These resources will help create an inclusive, sensory-friendly classroom where all students feel comfortable, supported, and prepared to succeed. By addressing their academic, social, and emotional needs, these tools will empower my students to become more confident, focused, and independent learners.
