My Project

I love my students because they are resilient, humorous, creative, and incredibly capable. They bring diverse voices, experiences, and perspectives into our 10th grade ELA classroom, and I want them to see those differences as strengths. As an EC teacher at a Title I school, one of my goals is to create a classroom where students feel safe taking academic risks, confident sharing their ideas, and excited about learning.

Each resource will have a meaningful purpose.

Classroom supplies will ensure students have the materials they need to participate fully in reading, writing, and collaborative activities eliminating the the feeling of being unprepared, or incapable. The classroom décor will transform our classroom into a welcoming, organized space that promotes belonging, inclusiveness, and reflects the energy of our learners. My hope is to offer incentive snacks that will provide positive reinforcement for effort, growth, participation, improved behavior, and perseverance.

My goal is not simply to make our classroom look better—it is to create an environment that communicates to students, “You belong here. Your voice matters. You are capable of success.” With these resources, I hope to strengthen literacy skills, increase engagement, build confidence, and help my students become empowered readers, writers, thinkers, and lifelong learners.
