Otters Find Their Calm: A Mobile SEL and Regulation Cart

Help me give my students a mobile calming and SEL cart filled with sensory tools, breathing activities, emotion resources, and counseling games to regulate emotions, build coping skills, and return ready to learn.

My Project

My students are creative, caring, and eager to learn. Each day, they work hard to become strong leaders, but some need additional support managing big emotions, coping with stress, resolving conflicts, and remaining focused. I love their determination and want every student to feel safe, supported, and prepared to succeed.

This mobile calming and SEL cart will allow me to bring support directly to students in classrooms, small groups, individual counseling sessions, and regulation breaks.

Sensory tools and liquid timers will help students calm their bodies and refocus. Breathing activities and coping-skill cards will teach healthy ways to manage strong emotions. Emotion-identification resources will help students recognize and communicate their feelings, while counseling games will build problem-solving, friendship, and responsible decision-making skills.

With these resources, our Otter Leaders will learn how to regulate their emotions, make positive choices, and return to class ready to learn.
