Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are energetic, curious, and eager to explore the world beyond their classroom. They come to Spanish class every day ready to absorb a new language and embrace different cultures. For many of them, this is their first time learning a second language, and they thrive when learning is hands-on, visual, and creative. They inspire me daily with their enthusiasm and determination to communicate in a new way.

Having a Spanish Calendar and Weather chart will transform our daily warm-ups into interactive conversations about the date and weather.

The bilingual book set will give my students access to engaging stories that boost their literacy skills in both languages, while the Spanish coloring books and new colored pencils will allow them to connect language learning with creative expression.

Since we currently do not have pencil sharpeners, having two reliable sharpeners in the room will keep our creative routine running smoothly without losing valuable instruction time. Finally, the thermal laminator will be a game-changer; it will allow us to protect and preserve student creation projects, flashcards, and learning materials so they can be reused and enjoyed for years to come.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
