My Project

My students are eager to learn and explore careers in the audio/video technology and communications career pathways! In my classroom, students are able to have real hands-on experiences using equipment that are used in specific careers. My students dream of becoming future sound engineering technicians, producers, technical directors/managers, audio and video equipment technicians, broadcast technicians, and program directors. Students want to "listen, learn, and lead" their own podcast!

My students need stools, a professional audio studio, and a microphone to reach their professional podcasting goals.

Students will learn to use the microphones, tripod, and all-in- one-podcast studio to develop communication, literacy, and teamwork skills. Developing these valuable skills are beneficial for careers in journalism and broadcasting. Students want to research a variety of topics, have panel discussions, and interviews.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
