Dressed for Success: Stocking Our Clothing Closet

Help me give my students clean, comfortable clothing options so an accident, spill, or unexpected need doesn't have to interrupt their school day.

My Project

Our PreK–5 students come to school each day full of energy, curiosity, and excitement to learn. But when you work with elementary students, unexpected things happen! Spilled milk, muddy playgrounds, bathroom accidents, wet clothes, and damaged shoes can quickly turn a great school day into an uncomfortable one.

This project will restock our school clothing closet with the essentials we reach for most often.

Stretchy leggings, adjustable joggers, and elastic-waist athletic shorts provide comfortable options that can fit a variety of students, while new underwear allows us to provide a completely fresh change when needed. Washable slip-on shoes will help when a student's shoes become soaked, muddy, or otherwise unwearable. Having these items readily available means students can spend less time out of the classroom waiting for a change of clothes and more time participating in instruction, activities, and time with their classmates.

Our goal is simple: Do not let an unexpected clothing mishap become an all-day problem. With your help, when one of our students has an unexpected "oops" during the school day, we can simply say, "We've got you covered!" and help them get dressed for success and back to learning and being a kid.
