My Project

I am teaching 8th graders in middle school. They are enrolled in 8th grade Mathematics with Foundational Supports. My students are curious, capable, and eager to understand how the concepts of Math explain the world around them. Many of them come from diverse backgrounds and have limited access to technology outside of school.

They benefit most from interactive, hands-on learning experiences that help them visualize abstract concepts.

This project will provide iPad to support interactive, inquiry-based learning in 8th graders Mathematics. The iPad will be used daily instruction to help students get abetter grasp of mathematical concepts through the use of technology in terms of exemplars and guided instruction.

This tool will allow students to engage more deeply with mathematical concepts. For a lot of students, Mathematics is their main challenge as they navigate high school life. Access to iPad helps students develop skills essential for college and work fields.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
