Help me give my students basic art supplies and a classroom printer so we can get back to creating with pencils, paper, printed references, and hands-on materials—giving their creativity room to flow.

My Project

My Students Are Ready to Create

My students are creative, expressive, and full of ideas, but many of them come from families experiencing financial hardship and are not always able to purchase the items on our classroom supply list.

Because of this, I never want a student’s ability to participate in art class to depend on what they can afford to bring from home.

I have seen what happens when my students simply have the materials they need—their creativity comes alive. A pencil, a fresh sheet of paper, and something inspiring to look at can turn into an opportunity for a student to discover a talent they didn’t even know they had.

The basic art supplies in this project will allow my students to draw, sketch, plan, experiment, and create without worrying about having their own materials. The printer will allow me to provide printed photographs, artwork references, worksheets, and other visual resources so we can spend less time relying on phones and computer screens and more time working hands-on with paper, pencils, magazines, and art materials.

When my classroom is stocked, my students thrive. I want them to walk into art class knowing that everything they need to create is waiting for them. Their circumstances should never limit their creativity.
