My Project

First grade is a busy and exciting year filled with learning, growing, exploring, and lots of energy! My students work hard throughout the school day, and having access to a snack can make such a difference in helping them stay focused, comfortable, and ready to learn.

This project will help provide our classroom with a variety of snacks, including Goldfish crackers, fruit snacks, Rice Krispies Treats, popcorn, crackers, and other individually packaged options.

Having these snacks available will allow me to keep our classroom stocked throughout the school year and make sure my students have something to eat during our designated snack time.

Not every student can bring a snack from home every day. Sometimes snacks are forgotten, families may run out, or there may simply be other circumstances that make bringing one difficult. I never want a student to have to sit without a snack while watching their classmates eat. Having a classroom supply means I can quietly provide something to any student who needs it without making them feel different or left out.

These snacks will also be helpful for occasional classroom celebrations and special days throughout the year. Something as simple as a small snack can give them the little boost they need to finish their day strong.

My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels welcomed, supported, included, and cared for. When my students are not distracted by being hungry, they can put more of their energy into learning, participating, creating, and building relationships with their classmates.
