My Project

Help me give my students the art supplies they need to fully participate in meaningful, hands-on art experiences. In our art classroom, students are encouraged to explore different materials, experiment with new techniques, and express their own ideas through creativity. However, limited supplies can make it difficult for every student to have the materials they need to participate fully.

These supplies will help students build confidence, problem-solving skills, fine motor skills, and perseverance.

Art gives students a chance to learn that there is not always one "right" answer and that mistakes can become part of the creative process. With access to a variety of materials, students can experiment, make changes, and discover new ways to communicate their ideas.

The basic art supplies will play many roles in our classroom. First and foremost, they will give every student the opportunity to create, explore, and practice artistic skills without having to worry about running out of materials or sharing essential supplies. Having dependable materials available will allow students to work more independently, make creative choices, and take pride in their finished artwork.

Most importantly, these supplies will help make our art room a place where every student has the opportunity to create and see themselves as an artist. Whether they are painting, drawing, cutting, gluing, weaving, or exploring a new material for the first time, these resources will help make their artistic experiences more engaging, accessible, and meaningful.
