Overcoming The Fear of Reading

Help me give my students reading work area a green carpet, cushions and bean bags for comfort, emotional safety, which helps reduce anxiety and give children a calming spot to self regulate.

My Project

The carpet, cushions, and bean bag will help reduce my students’ anxiety by creating calm, comfortable workspaces where they can work independently without distractions. Through working closely with my students, I have learned that they are more focused, productive, and confident when they have a quiet space that is not in the center of the classroom. These resources will provide flexible seating and individual work areas that support their social-emotional needs while encouraging independence. My students are eager to build their confidence and complete tasks on their own, and these materials will help create an environment where they feel safe, successful, and ready to learn every day.
