My Project

Middle school kids love to eat snacks, and when working on difficult assignments, a little motivation of being able to eat in the classroom goes a long way. Incentives in the classroom are so important since kids love the immediate gratification when a reward is promised, and when given for a job well done, kids want to work hard.

My kids are amazing because they work hard as they learn to write essays.

Having a new pencil or munchies on their desk help them push past the dread of writing 5 paragraphs because nothing motivates them more quickly than food. My students are fine tuning their English skills or learning how to put their thoughts onto paper. Knowing how to speak what is your brain and actually being able to write it out are two different skills.
