My Project

After 18 years of teaching, my classroom library has become very well-loved! Many of my books have fallen apart or are no longer in good condition, leaving my students with a smaller selection of books to choose from. New, engaging books will help me rebuild our classroom library with stories and topics that spark curiosity and make students excited to read. I want my students to have books that capture their attention, encourage them to explore new interests, and help them discover the joy of reading.

My goal is to create a classroom library that makes my students want to pick up a book and read!

In a world where electronic devices are always competing for their attention, I want my students to experience the joy of getting lost in a good book. These new books will provide opportunities for students to strengthen their reading skills while building vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, imagination, and confidence. I want every child to find books that make them think, laugh, wonder, and see the world in a new way.

My students are special because they are each unique learners with their own interests, strengths, and stories to share. Although I haven't met them yet, I am excited to build a classroom community where every child feels valued and has the opportunity to discover the joy of reading. As we begin this exciting journey together in a brand-new school, these books will help create a welcoming classroom where students can grow as readers, develop a love of learning, and discover that there is always a great book waiting for them.
