Bringing Learning to Life: A Color Printer for First Grade

Help me give my students access to a shared color printer for our grade level! It will allow our teachers to create engaging, hands-on learning materials, visual supports, student projects, classroom displays, and resources tailored to their needs.

My Project

Imagine a classroom where students can see their learning come to life in bright, colorful, and meaningful ways. Our first-grade team is seeking a color printer and laminating pouches to share across our grade level, giving approximately 100 first-grade students access to engaging, high-quality learning materials throughout the school year.

In first grade, so much of learning is visual.

Students benefit from colorful anchor charts, vocabulary cards, math manipulatives, phonics activities, classroom labels, student-created books, project displays, and hands-on learning materials. Unfortunately, access to a color printer is limited, making it difficult for our teachers to consistently provide these resources for our students.

First grade is a foundational year. Students are developing the reading, writing, math, problem-solving, and independence skills that will follow them throughout their education. Having access to engaging, teacher-created materials allows us to make instruction more accessible, interactive, and memorable.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
