My Project

Middle school comes with many changes, challenges, and new responsibilities. As sixth-grade teachers, we want our students to feel confident, comfortable, and ready to learn, but sometimes something as simple as needing deodorant, a toothbrush, or a menstrual hygiene product can become a major obstacle during the school day.

I am looking to create a 6th-grade hygiene closet available to students throughout the school year.

This resource will provide students with access to essential personal-care items when they need them, discreetly and without judgment.

I am requesting items such as bandages, deodorant for boys and girls, soap, feminine hygiene products, including pads.

The purpose of this project goes far beyond providing supplies. It is about protecting our students’ dignity, confidence, and ability to focus on learning. A student should not have to sit through class worrying about body odor, an unexpected period, a minor injury, or lack of access to basic hygiene supplies. They should not have to feel embarrassed or leave school because they lack something they need.

The Bulldog care closet will provide a safe, welcoming resource where sixth-grade students can access these essentials privately and respectfully.

By supporting this project, you are helping us remove a barrier that can affect attendance, confidence, participation, and academic success. You are also sending our students an important message: You matter. You are cared for. Your needs are important.
