My Project

Students, especially our little friends in grades 1-3, are constantly experiencing new things. New people, new routines, new identities, new understanding of others and themselves, new roles and responsibilities, new expectations, new knowledge- so much at this age is still novel! That can be very exciting! That can also be overwhelming at times, causing confusion about emotions or feelings in their little bodies. Having a cozy corner provides students with a space they can take a reprieve to and practice self-regulation, self-advocacy, accountability, independence, and self-care. Let's not forget to relax!
