My Project

Every day, over 170 incredible eighth graders walk into my American History classroom with a curiosity and energy that inspires me. My students are bright, capable, and ready to dive deep into the complexities of our nation’s past. To support their journey, we are heavily focused on purposeful reading and writing this year.

The notebooks I am requesting will serve as an essential tool for this mission.

They will act as personal history journals where students can process complex historical texts, practice their writing skills, and maintain their daily goal trackers throughout the year. Having a dedicated space to write allows them to take ownership of their learning.

Additionally, the relevant historical posters will transform our classroom into an immersive learning environment. Visual aids are crucial for bringing abstract concepts and historical figures to life, making the content more accessible and engaging for all learning styles. By combining these engaging visual resources with the dedicated writing space provided by the notebooks, my students will have exactly what they need to succeed and truly write their own history this school year.
