Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a fifth grade English Language Arts teacher, I am excited to support my students as they continue developing their reading, writing, listening, and comprehension skills. My students are growing learners who are building independence, confidence, and the skills they need to be successful in elementary school and beyond. Each student brings unique strengths and learning needs to our classroom, and I strive to provide resources that allow every learner to participate fully.

My students need durable classroom headphones with a storage case because technology is an important part of our daily literacy instruction.

Throughout the school year, students use headphones during small group instruction, digital reading activities, and assessments. Each year, I find myself purchasing multiple sets of headphones because many classroom headphones do not last. The cords become damaged, or the headphones stop working after repeated use. Having reliable headphones will ensure that students have consistent access to the digital resources they need.

The storage case will also help students develop responsibility and organization by providing a safe place to store headphones after each use. This will reduce misplaced or damaged materials and allow students to quickly access their supplies when needed.

These headphones will make a daily difference by creating a focused learning environment where students can listen carefully, work independently, and engage with digital literacy activities without distractions. They will be especially beneficial for my multilingual learners and exceptional students by providing the support they need to hear directions clearly, complete assignments successfully, and demonstrate their knowledge during digital learning and assessments.

Your support will provide my students with a reliable learning tool that will be used throughout the school year to strengthen their literacy skills and help every student have the opportunity to succeed.
