My Project

My classroom supports students with developmental needs and flexible seating serves so many purposes for my students. It allows them to practice making choices, have some independence, and get the sensory input they may be seeking.

My students come with a variety of needs and as week practice learning how to regulate our body, these seating options give them the input they need.

In my classroom we meet the students where they are at, and sometimes that means working while swinging, working on the floor, or working while bouncing. These seating options give my students a safe way to get the sensory input the need while continuing to receive their academics.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
