My Project

Every day, I have the privilege of working with incredible students who are resilient, creative, and full of potential. It is truly a privilege to serve as a school-based mental health therapist and provide therapy where students spend most of their day. I believe a positive mental mindset is one of the biggest factors in improving a child’s education. When children feel emotionally safe, supported, and confident, they are better able to learn, build relationships, and reach their full potential.

Many of my students benefit from hands-on activities that make it easier to express emotions and build healthy coping skills.

The art supplies will give students a creative outlet to process feelings they may not yet have words for. The A Little SPOT book sets will teach important social-emotional skills through engaging stories that children can easily understand and relate to. Play therapy toys will encourage communication, problem-solving, and emotional expression in a developmentally appropriate way. Floor cushions will create a warm, calming space where students feel comfortable participating in therapy sessions and small groups. Social-emotional learning tools will help students practice self-regulation, emotional awareness, and positive relationship skills that support success both in and out of the classroom.
