My Project

Because my students process sensory information differently than neurotypical peers, traditional classroom environments can often feel overwhelming, overstimulating, or physically uncomfortable. Fluorescent overhead lights, rigid plastic chairs, and unstructured sensory environments can create high levels of anxiety and stress.

Despite these sensory barriers, my students show incredible determination.

When given the right tools to self-regulate, their creativity, problem-solving skills, and joy for learning shine through.

By funding this project, you aren't just buying classroom supplies—you are providing my students with essential access tools.

When a student can dim the lighting, grab a fidget, or sit on a wobble stool, they are learning valuable lifelong self-advocacy and emotional regulation skills. Instead of spending energy fighting sensory discomfort or anxiety, they can focus that energy on reading, math, communication, and social-emotional growth.
