Interactive Learning: Reading, Writing, and Math Made Fun

Help me give my students snacks and classroom basics. My classroom supports fourth graders’ reading comprehension through interactive notebooks for organizing learning and reference, while file folders create engaging math games that build skills through hands-on collaborative practice.

My Project

This school year has brought unexpected changes! I previously taught third grade and was initially told I would move to second grade. After spending the summer preparing for that transition, I recently learned I will instead be teaching fourth grade.

While I am excited, this last-minute change means I need additional classroom materials to fully support my students.

I am in need of notebooks for reading, writing, and language arts interactive notebooks, as well as file folders for hands-on learning in math and reading comprehension. A file folder system will help with small group instruction, and clipboards will allow students to move around the room while continuing their work.

I also want to support my students’ basic needs. At my Title I school, many students come to school hungry, so having small snacks available helps them stay focused and ready to learn. Organizational tools like homework folders, classwork folders, and weekly folders will also help students stay organized and take ownership of their learning.

Many of my students enter fourth grade below grade level, so my goal is to provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences that build confidence, close learning gaps, and foster a love of learning. Fourth grade is a critical year as students prepare for fifth grade, and I want each child to leave my classroom feeling successful and ready for the next step.

Every donation, no matter the size, will directly support my students by providing the resources they need to learn and grow. Your generosity will help create a classroom where every child feels supported, encouraged, and inspired to succeed.
