This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am excited to start a new school year with my energetic, enthusiastic, and amazing Kindergarten students! I want to help my students in every way that I can in order for them to be successful in reaching their goal of developing their skills and, of course, having fun!

Every year, my students absolutely LOVE when it is time to color!

Whether it is to complete a Literacy or Math activity, practice writing their letters/words, or their favorite, "Free Draw," they have the absolute best time drawing/coloring such amazing pictures! I always look forward to seeing their amazing artwork and creativity!

Last year, I noticed that the crayons my class was using were easily breaking just from falling on the floor! You can imagine the frustration my students felt knowing that their crayon was broken in two. Even though I would tell them, "Now you have two while everyone just has one! How lucky are you?" it still didn't help make it better. Thankfully, my Kindergarten team suggested that I use the large Crayola crayons this year. They said that not only is it sturdier, but it helps their gripping as well as strengthens their fine-motor skills! That's a win in my book! I am requesting 25 large 16-count Crayola crayons as well as a box of a class set the students can have access to when they lose a crayon. Thank you!
