My Project

I love teaching Native American children and I want to be able to provide them with a classroom that makes them feel encouraged, inspired, and welcomed. The room I am moving into feels bare and uninspired. I want to make it feel alive. When the kids walk into the room, I want them to feel excited to read and have the ability to forget everything that may be happening outside of the classroom and get lost in reading and learning in our room! Providing a carpet, book baskets, supplies, and fun decor will help me do that!

Building a classroom community is critical to student success!

The items I am asking for will get students, who are normally hesitant to contribute, excited about learning. They will feel a sense of belonging and the classroom will be organized and inviting.
