From Scratch to Success! Help a Returning Teacher Gear Up!

Help me give my students an ink-efficient Epson classroom printer and an automatic, jam-free Sinchi laminator bundle to create durable, reusable reading packets and interactive social studies materials.

My Project

My sixth-grade social studies students are energetic, curious learners who thrive when learning is active, social, and tactile.

I returned to the classroom at the end of the second semester last year after an absence of many years.

Coming back has been incredibly rewarding, but starting entirely over from scratch and buying supplies out of my own pocket is expensive. I have already had to bring in my own chair, podium, and equipment from home.

Currently, my curriculum relies heavily on interactive group work and close-reading analysis. Managing daily materials for roughly 250 students across all my class periods requires a reliable setup directly inside my classroom. Last semester, I bought a small personal printer out of pocket for last-minute instructions, absent student packets, and reading materials for kids without working Chromebooks, but the ink was too costly and the machine ultimately broke down.

To solve this, I am requesting an ink-efficient printer alongside a heavy-duty automatic laminator and a bundle of pouches from Amazon. By combining these tools, I can generate just one single "class set" of 40 to 50 copies for a lesson. Immediately after printing, I will run these copies through the automatic, jam-free laminator to protect them. Its wide opening allows me to handle everything from standard reading handouts to different sizes of historical timelines and geographic maps. I am requesting a bundle of 3-mil pouches for everyday reading packets, and heavy-duty 5-mil pouches to protect interactive group materials. Thank you for supporting our classroom!
