This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are naturally curious, creative, and eager to share their ideas. They thrive when they have opportunities to ask meaningful questions, collaborate with their classmates, and reflect on their learning. I want them to see themselves as capable thinkers whose voices and experiences matter.

As an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, we encourage students to develop the qualities of the IB Learner Profile, including being inquirers, thinkers, communicators, principled, caring, open-minded, balanced, knowledgeable, risk-takers, and reflective.

These attributes become most meaningful when students can actively engage with them every day.

The ten 36-inch display boards will each represent one IB Learner Profile attribute. Students will use the boards to post questions, share reflections, display evidence of their learning, celebrate acts of kindness and leadership, and make connections between classroom lessons and the qualities they are developing. Rather than simply reading about these attributes, students will interact with them throughout the year, making learning visible and meaningful.

These boards will transform our classroom into a collaborative learning environment where every student has a place to contribute, reflect, and grow. Your generosity will help create a space that inspires curiosity, encourages student voice, and supports the development of lifelong learners.
