Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My kindergarten students are curious, energetic, and excited to learn each day. They come from diverse backgrounds and thrive when they feel safe, included, and engaged in our classroom community. Carpet time is one of the most important parts of our day because it’s where we gather to read stories, build foundational skills, and learn together.

A classroom rug with individual seating spots will help every student have a designated place to learn and participate.

Having personal spaces will reduce distractions, encourage independence, and help students stay focused during whole-group lessons. It will also create a more organized and welcoming learning environment where every child feels like they belong.

My goal is to create a classroom where all students can learn comfortably and confidently. This rug will provide a space that supports collaboration, builds classroom routines, and helps my young learners make the most of every lesson.
