My Project

Sketchbooks are a big part of the overall art "process" learning experience. They are integral for students to build confidence and see their growth as an artist over time. A sketchbook serves as a journal, a place for students to work out their thoughts and feelings, and to design/think/sketch the next cool art idea for a long-term art project.

Many students struggle to buy their own sketchbooks each year.

Your donation will help all students become confident artists!

In class, students use their sketchbooks for taking notes, exploring scientific changes when mixing mediums, such as watercolors and salt, and see and experience real-time their daily improvement in their personal art skills.

By implementing sketchbooks in art, my students will begin to see themselves as true artists, designers, and illustrators. The goal is to build confidence and give students a skill they can use for the rest of their lives. My students will use these sketchbooks to aide them in the process of becoming life-long confident and creative artists!
