My Project

Kindergarten can be an unnerving experience for young children just starting out on their educational journey. Providing a comfortable and cozy classroom is essential to help them learn and grow. I want students to feel at home in our classroom. When students feel truly secure that is when they can begin to expand their minds through challenging and rigorous activities. Being comfortable to take risks and make mistakes is how learning happens.

With the items(rugs, paint and books) in this project students will be able to relax, read, learn, and create in a safe, inviting environment.

Students will feel comfortable and loved with these materials at their disposal. Students will also be encouraged to explore nonfiction information about the various animal groups. Sparking students love for reading and learning is an essential part of the kindergarten experience.

My students are inquisitive and enjoy a wide variety of literature. Nonfiction texts are particularly important in kindergarten. My students enjoy learning about living things and how they can be compared and contrasted. These books and materials will be perfect to comfort and inspire learning!
