My Project

"Pathways to Purpose" represents more than a classroom supply list—it represents an opportunity for students to build confidence, discover their abilities, and see that mathematics can open doors to future careers and lifelong success. Your generosity will help create a classroom where every student feels prepared, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

My vision for our classroom is to create a welcoming, organized, and engaging environment where every student has the tools they need to succeed.

The supplies in this project will make that vision possible. Notebooks, pencils, paper, and dry-erase markers will allow students to solve problems, show their thinking, and practice new math concepts every day. The reusable write-and-wipe pockets and tabletop paper center will encourage collaboration, hands-on learning, and opportunities to learn from mistakes without fear. Construction paper, crayons, markers, glue sticks, and scissors will help students create interactive math notebooks, vocabulary activities, anchor charts, and projects that make learning meaningful and memorable. Easel pads, flip chart markers, and classroom markers will support engaging lessons and visual models that help students better understand challenging concepts. Technology is an important part of learning, so classroom earbuds will ensure every student can fully participate in digital lessons, instructional videos, and online practice without distractions. Healthy snacks will provide support for students who need a little extra energy to stay focused throughout the school day. Finally, cleaning supplies such as disinfecting wipes, disinfectant spray, and paper towels will help keep our classroom clean, healthy, and ready for learning every day.

As a first-year sixth-grade math teacher, I have the privilege of helping students transition into middle school during one of the most important stages of their academic journey. I want them to achieve great things through hard work, perseverance, and confidence in themselves.
