Creating a Collaborative Classroom

Help me give my students a Natural Accents Leaves Classroom Carpet (9’ x 12’) and a mobile dry erase board for read-alouds, morning meetings, collaborative learning, and flexible instruction.

My Project

My fourth-grade students are curious, resilient, and eager to learn. I teach at a Title I school where many students come from low-income families, and many are learning English as their second or even third language. Every day, they bring unique perspectives, rich cultural experiences, and a determination to succeed. They thrive when they can talk through ideas, collaborate with classmates, and learn in an environment where they feel safe, included, and valued.

A welcoming gathering space and flexible teaching tools will help every student actively participate in learning.

We currently do not have a classroom rug, making it difficult to bring students together for morning meetings, interactive read-alouds, small-group instruction, partner work, and class discussions. The Natural Accents Leaves Classroom Carpet will create a comfortable space where students can build language skills, strengthen relationships, and engage in meaningful conversations. A mobile dry erase board will allow me to bring instruction closer to students, making lessons more interactive, accessible, and engaging for all learners.

My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels connected, confident, and excited to learn. These resources will support academic growth while fostering communication, collaboration, and a strong classroom community. With your generosity, my students will have a learning environment that helps them develop the skills they need to succeed both in school and beyond.
